Building A Sturdy Building Blocks

When constructing a friendship, one places many different building blocks for the friendship to function at its full potential. Building a friendship looks much like constructing a castle in the way that each block is important for the design to turn out perfectly. Sturdy building blocks carefully layered over time construct a healthy and vibrant friendship. If ignored, these building blocks will cause a compromised foundation of friendship. Although there are many important elements involved in building a strong friendship, the three I believe that one cannot do without include trust, loyalty, and common interests. Without fulfilling these criteria, seldom do two individuals develop a long-lasting and true friendship.

Trust remains one of the most significant parts of possessing a true friendship. Two main notions make up the idea of a long-lasting trust between two individuals. Firstly, talking directly to your friend about any issues is an essential component of trust. Gossiping or tale-telling will only result in wounded feelings and a broken relationship. Secondly, following through on commitments and promises made is essential and keeps stress and conflict in a relationship to a minimum. In conclusion, remaining trustworthy will produce a long-lasting and pleasant friendship that both parties will enjoy.

Therefore, I consider it as the core base of a healthy companionship. Remaining loyal to your friends, especially through the darkest times, rests as the central idea behind loyalty. Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines loyalty as, “faithful to a private person to whom faithfulness is due”. Always believing the best about friends while defending them to others demonstrates a faithful friend. Loyalty binds us together, it is what makes us endure through hardship for the ones we love, and without it a friendship cannot
