Charle Hardin branded as "Buddy" Holly. Born in Lubbock, TX, on September 7, 1936. Holly is the most jarring legend of '50s rock 'n' roll. Produced some of the most unique and influential work in rock music. Such as 'Peggy Sue' and 'That'll Be the Day.' Holly formed a band after high school and played country and western songs on a Lubbock radio station. He was an uprising star when a tragic plane crash belted him down in 1959 at age 22.
November 27, 1957 Brunswick Records released The “Chirping” Crickets album. "The Crickets" band included leader singer Buddy Holly and Earl Sinks, Niki Sullivan guitar player, Joe B. Mauldin a Bassist. One of my favorite songs in the album is "That'll Be the Day" that was issued on May of 1957. Holly got

The reason I love this song from the album was because this is the last song holly wrote and produced with the Crickets before he unexpectedly died. Correspondingly, it was charted seven from Top 40 singles. "That'll Be the Day" means 'He promised to be on time tomorrow. ' On the album cover was a picture of the group taken on the rooftop of the Brooklyn Paramount just after their unveiling on National US television. Next favorite song in the album is "True Love Ways". Buddy Holly wrote "True Love Ways" for his wife, Maria Elena Holly as a wedding gift. Hence I contemplate that’s the most thoughtful and interesting story behind "True Love Ways". A interesting lyric in hollys song is, “Well you give me all your loving And all your turtle doving all your hugs and kisses And your money too..” I felt the part he said, “And your money too” was pretty humors. He didn’t want to be full on serious, so he added a little bit more of humor, so whoever listens to this song can have a laugh. Songs such as "Listen to Me," "Oh Boy!," "Maybe Baby," "Heartbeat," and "It's So Easy," Holly …show more content…
My over all review on this album out of 10 is an 8.5. Reason being, most of his songs people can relate back to. And are pretty catchy. The only thing I disliked about the album is that it has a lot of the same beat in the majority of the album, and it gets unexciting. It’s a lot of drums, guitar. Always doing the same thing on stage, nothing new. However, that is his character and the album speaks for itself. For the most part I enjoyed listening to a talented artiest and had a fun time experiencing and guessing what kind of instruments where being used in Buddy hollys music. For the memorable of Buddy Holley. He once said, ''If anyone asks you what kind of music you play, tell him 'pop.' Don't tell him 'rock'n'roll' or they won't even let you in the hotel.

The song “100 years” is very inspiring. In the song he tells you, “Half time goes by, suddenly you’re wise. Another blink of an eye 67 is gone,” so he is basically saying that life goes by quick and someone shouldn’t waste their time on something stupid. As the song goes on, he keeps repeating “I’m _ _ for a moment.” During the song, he seems as if he’s fine with getting older, he’s wishing for another moment once he gets to 99.…
