The brain is an organ which controls all systems of the body. Unfortunately, there are some diseases which make a defect called mental illness. Two specific diseases which affect in patient's behavior are borderline personality disorder and depression. Borderline personality disorder and depression have many common things in some symptoms, diagnosis, and the methods of the treatment. These disorders also can be contrasted in another symptoms, results of untreated disorders, and priority of using the type of treatments
Mental illness is disorder which impacts people’s mood and behavior. [1] Many people could have mental health from time to time. [1] However, it becomes a mental illness when its symptoms continue for a long time. [1] Mental illness has many disorders are classified under it such as borderline personality

Specialists have found common causes for these disorders, which are a combination of genes and environmental factors. [2;3] For example, patients who are existing as a part of an environment with unsteady family relationships might rise the danger for these kinds of disorders. [2] Some symptoms of borderline personality disorder are similar to depression. Therefore, patients who have borderline personality disorder or depression often feel discouragement; as a result, they lose passion in activities, feel sadness, emptiness, and boredom. [2;3] Both of these disorders have partially the same diagnosis. To discover one of these disorders, people should visit a mental health specialist and do two things, which are a physical examination and an interview. [2,3] After specialists make an assessment about the disorder, the specialist starts to map out a plan for treatment. [2;3] To apply treatment for people who have borderline personality disorder or depression, these disorders have two methods to be treated, which are psychotherapy and medications.
