Book Report On Katniss Everdeen

Katniss Everdeen had many different men in her life all playing different roles and leaving different impacts. Katniss has a best friend named Gale and they have a complex relationship throughout the whole book. Gale is a very active young guy that is angry at the Capitol and very outspoken and wants to fight for his future. If someone was looking at their relationship on the outside they would say that it was very confusing because they were just friends, but their relationship started changing into something more. Early in the book Katniss says how she could not like Gale as anything but just a friend because they have been close since they were kids, but she was not sure on anything. Peeta was different then Gale because he was sweet and sensitive. Peeta would watch Katniss when they were both young, but she never noticed him. She only first really noticed him when he threw out burnt bread for her one day when she was hungry. Peeta was a part of the richer families in district 12 that they live in so he was more well off than Katniss and the others. While during the games they started to pretend to be in love, but Peeta really was, but Katniss’s feelings started to develop later. Katniss has a different kind of feeling for Peeta because they were in both in the games together and she knows one of them has to die and she does not want to have to kill him. Katniss realizes that she needs to figure out her feelings for both of the men who are closes to her and she knows she needs to do …show more content…
She knows that having feelings for him and him being nice to her that she might hesitate when it comes to killing her and might cost her life. She is afraid that she would not know what to do in the end.
She cares for a lot for Gale and also for Peeta, but in different ways. Katniss does not have a good life to begin with, but neither does the two guys. Gale has always been a protector and someone who Katniss could trust and make a living with and he is a good companion. Peeta on the other hand was her secret admirer and helped her out when she needed it. Katniss and Gale could love each other and be something great, but Peeta and Katniss ended up in the same game together and that changed things. Both guys are good and bad for Katniss in their own
