Body modification is a wide range of study in which can be categorised in multiple ways, but the main two explored are tattoo artistry and body piercing. Salary is differentiated by each tattoo parlor or shop, but also depends whether or not one is a salaried employee. If one is a salaried employee, then there is more of a chance they will be paid above the national or state average annual salary. If not a salaried employee, the clientele one has is their own basic form of income, taken in consideration of how frequently clients make an appearance. The forms of income are often based on the sort of clientele and what services they desire. Some tattoo shops or parlors pay their employees weekly or sometimes daily. Ones that may pay daily start with the amount of business and work put into the day. This versus the weekly is a larger lump sum of money
