Body image pressure
Body image is the way we see ourselves when we are looking in the mirror, we are imagining our appearance in a specific way, although other people might see us differently. Certain media such as advertisements, magazines, TV shows have a vast influence on how beauty standards are set in a society. A notable impact on body image pressure is that the way children’s toys such as Barbies and superheroes, can affect how children see themselves from a young age. These particular products can have very negative impacts on the development of young children's minds that can affect them in the long run.
