Blackfish Research Paper

Anti- SeaWorld When I was thirteen years old my family and I traveled to California. While is California we visited the seemingly magical amusement park, SeaWorld. As I walked around I was amazed at the large sea life swimming all around me. Growing up I would watch Animal Planet every morning before school so to be able to see the large animals that I had seen on T.V. was like a dream come true. I went home after my trip to SeaWorld determined to become a trainer at the amazing amusement park. I shared all my experiences with my dad who introduced me to a movie titled Blackfish. SeaWorld presents itself as a loving supporter of marine life, however, there is a lot behind the scenes that typical visitors of this amusement park may be unaware of. SeaWorld …show more content…
SeaWorld does more damage to the marine life that the help that they promote on their webpage. “SeaWorld spends only about 3 percent of its profits on conservation.” (“About PETA's Campaign Against SeaWorld”) and the film Blackfish “…exposes the park’s horrific capture of young orcas from their families in the ocean.” (“About PETA's Campaign Against SeaWorld”).
