Civil liberties are limitations that are placed to ensure that the government does not interfere with people’s freedom (Crash Course). Civil rights also rights of the people so they can be able to have political, social and freedom and equality. As citizens of the United States the 1st ten amendments, also known as the Bill of Rights, explicitly explains our rights. All the citizens in the United States have the right to freedom of speech. Which can protect people from the government from punishing a person who states public criticism. As citizens we have many rights but all are limited although we have the freedom of speech, assembly, religion and press they are very limited.
