Bill Gates is what most say the wealthiest man in the world. He was born in Seattle, Washington, to William and Mary Gates. He, though many would say was born “with a silver spoon in his mouth,” has had several trial - and errors throughout his life, and deserves recognition. Gates faced many hardships while climbing the ladder of success, and worked very hard to bring the public something that would revolutionize the world forever. Bill knew he could not achieve such a goal on his own, so with the help of Paul Allen, Microsoft was launched on April 4th, 1975, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Currently, 400 Million devices are running Windows 10, an operating software from Microsoft. The computing company would then go on to become the largest computer software company ever. One could argue that Gates didn’t have to try very hard to reach this amount of success, given they were born to a rich family or that they had a life full of luck. The man desperately wanted to give something to the public that would help make it technologically advanced. His first attempt was a company called Traf-O-Data and it was designed to help road engineers easily create a report on the road status. …show more content…
However, he has grown older and more wise and knows that said trial and error statement is very important and has more than likely, unknowingly been living it all his life. He had attained the status, “The Richest Man on Earth,” and held that status for quite some time. I believe he stands for positivity, posterity, and persistence. So, given all of the above positives about the 61 year old from Seattle Washington, I chose him because he gives me hope for the success of America, the world and future
