What is Big Fish Games?

A casual gaming company founded in 2002, Big Fish Games has today grown into the world’s largest producer and distributor of online casual games. Paul Thelen, once a Group Product Manager for RealNetworks, broke away in 2000 to found Big Fish Games with a capital of $10000.

In 2008, the company received major financial backing from venture capital funds and in 2009, opened its new European headquarters in Cork, Ireland.

Its reach has increased exponentially and the company caters to 150 countries today. Big Fish Games also successfully transitioned from a PC-centric to a mobile-centric company and has distributed over 2.5 billion games so far.

Today, the company is owned by Churchill Downs Incorporated.
