Introduction
Worldview is defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as the way someone thinks about the world. (Worldview) A Biblical Worldview is defined by the Biblical Worldview Institute as an overarching view of the world based on God’s revealed truth, the Bible, which directs our life in this world. (What is a Biblical Worldview?) In Romans 1-8, Paul walks us through the themes of sinfulness, forgiveness, and freedom. (Tyndale House Publishers, pages 1878-1896) This is a fallen, sinful world, therefore not one human who walks on this earth is free from sin, and our only hope in this world is through our faith in Jesus Christ.
The Natural World
The natural world was created by God. Genesis 1 gives an account of God creating the heavens and the earth from vast nothingness. He created light, land, water, creatures of land and of sea, and man. Everything we see, clouds, caterpillars, kittens, and crape myrtles, God created them. I see intense similarities from his writings and today’s world. I see the need for Jesus in every situation, that works cannot and will not bring about salvation. The natural world was created by God and has fallen because of man. Human identity, although created in His image, has fallen short due to sin. Human relationships have become perverted, deceitful, and self-seeking due to sin. And the culture that should be focused on God and Christ Jesus has fallen wayward to selfishness. Biblically speaking, through the writings of Paul in Romans 1-8, the entirety of the world has become lost, but through the Christian faith in Christ Jesus, we are saved and spared from
