When they were on the cart Elena was talking to a nice woman that had a son with the name of Andrius Arvydas. For a few minutes the kids talk, until the librarian that was on the cart got all the kids together. She started to tell stories that would calm down the kids. Later on Andrius, Lina,and Jonas woke up in the middle of the night. There was no guards around the carts so they decided to do something that was not the best idea. They all wanted to go and find their fathers. After getting out of the cart they had to go from cart to cart to try and find them. Eventually they came to the cart that had Kostas in it. He told them to stay together and he gave them jackets and sock to keep them warm. Unfortunately Andrius did not find his father but he sent Lina and Jonas back to the cart. He wanted them to be safe but he also wanted to find his father. As soon as the two kids were going to get onto the cart the NKVD saw them. He had them come out from underneath the train.
