There are many theories explaining the mystery to how people came to the Americas. Some of these include, “The Bering Land Bridge”, “Coastal Entry”, “Atlantic Theory”, “Pacific Theory”, “African Theory”, and the “Creationist Theory”. Many of these theories are more valid than others. This paper will discuss one of these theories. The Bering Land Bridge is the most valid of these selections for multiple reasons. “The Bering Land Bridge” is the most valid theory for how Native Americans came to America, because of evidence from carbon dating. To begin, carbon dating is a new study that allows us to find the age of certain objects. We are able to find the age of certain objects by means of using Carbon 14. Continuing …show more content…
To begin with, time was a major problem for the American immigrants. People back then did not know what was waiting for them or was would happen for them; it wasn’t like they had live Google Earth to help them. To explain this further, they did not know how long this journey to the new world would take them to complete. This is what they feared the most; since they did not know how long it would take them to complete the trip. They tried to make sure that they were prepared. Being prepared for a journey that you have no idea how long it will last is difficult to do. Furthermore, the people did not know what food sources would be available to them when they did manage to cross the bridge. People today would answer the question, “Would you travel to a place knowing nothing about it, and I mean nothing”, by saying NO! This explanation is yet another reason why the “Bering Land Bridge” is the most valid way of crossing. It seems to be the most logical way to do …show more content…
People today would use logic as a great way to look at things. Logic is a great way to look at the “Bering Land Bridge,” while using evidence from past history. First off, we previously learned that stone tools were found in today’ California. This is only one way of evidence to prove that the theory is correct. Secondly, knowing that humans are lazy and want to take the least difficult route to their destination would have chosen land to walk upon instead of water. Land connects with land and that allows them to travel more easily. Thirdly, we also know that humans today wish to put forth less and less effort so why wouldn’t the people back a 100,000 years ago want the same. Traveling by the land bridge seems like the most effortless and safest way to cross continents. Fourthly, we are not entirely sure about this, but we believe when people traveled, they traveled in groups for safety reasons. Relating to this, they weren't always to sure on what to do in groups for food, so that was another reason why the “Bering Land Bridge” is the most valid way to travel from continent to continent. In conclusion, the “Bering Land Bridge is the most valid way of
