The Buddha is a physical being representing an ideal person one hopes to attain. While there is not a physical proof that this way of living is “correct” followers perceive that it is important based on their own values. Humans are given the natural right to choose what path of beliefs they follow whether it is a religion or a way of thinking. The value in these beliefs makes religion fulfilling and gives humans purpose. Spirituality is important to the survival of these beliefs because without parallel in these precepts, evidence is completely subjective. Teresa of Avila describes how putting a physical restraint on the concept of religion counter acts it’s goals. While there is not a definitive end goal, belief in that end goal is the driving force in someday reaching spiritual enlightenment. Teresa of Avila says: "The law is spiritual." What does that mean? Whether one is enforcing power on someone or one is under someone else’s power, it is the leverage that someone has in a given situation which effects behavior. Power struggle is commonly attributed to relationships Physical power restraint is a common trend that has been used throughout human history to satisfy needs for information and/or self-gratification. These power transfers are both positive and negative. While this is usually very forceful, the actual power is being used to inflict change upon someone else so it doesn’t necessary have to involve physical actions or violence. Power can also be inflicted through emotional triggers. Emotional power is more common than many people might think. An example of these powers are pressures from a manager or boss. When a quota needs to be reached, managers will use tactics to fill this void. With their title, they can control the team and the moral surrounding a project. Having this power allows them to pull from other resources and get the job done by using his power to either incentivize or pressure employees.
