The qualifications of a Teacher’s Assistant are that they must have experience of working with children, which is essential and they must also possess a certain level of maturity, which is also an advantage. Special Education Needs (SEN) Teachers: These teachers provide individualised support to students with learning problems and disabilities which prevent them from benefiting from the normal standard system of education. Special education needs teacher’s assist students with certain and specific learning problems such as Asperger’s Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Dyslexia. They also cater for physically disabled students, and those with mental, psychological, emotional and social difficulties. Special education needs teachers work as resource teachers in mainstream schools and they are responsible for teaching disadvantaged students in the class or in a separate class.
