Having had work experience within the community setting I understand the importance of effective written and verbal communication. As a current volunteer for St John Ambulance, where I’ve gained basic training in pre hospital urgent and emergency care, I continuously look to improve upon my skills but never go above my training and know when to seek assistance. Voluntary work with St John has given me a greater understanding into the role of a Paramedic and working alongside other health professionals. I have also done further activities such as Heart Start, Wigan and Leigh Hospice Ambulance care and I have also observed a paramedic on a rapid response vehicle with NWAS for a 12 hour shift; during which I saw first-hand good paramedic practice and
