Basketball Observation

There is a place that everyone retreats to, that generates them relaxation and pure happiness. My sanctuary was plainly the basketball court. Once I arrive at the gym, I get hit in the face with the chilling breeze of the full blast air conditioning they had on, which would make you want to put on a jacket. To get to the court I had to walk through to two gigantic black heavy doors, generating me to exert all the force I had to pry it open. Arriving onto to the court my nose begins to go numb to the horrific smell of must collected by all the player’s sweat, causing me to cringe. I would lace up my low top red and black Adidas shoes and start dribbling the bouncy orange leather ball towards the basket. I would elevate off the ground …show more content…
It would literally start messing with my stomach giving me a sudden urge of throwing up. My stomach would start feeling nauseous causing me to sit down to regain my feeling in my stomach, consequently wishing that I had a mask to block out the terrorizing stench.

The sound of the ball pounding on the hardwood would echo and vibrate throughout the entire gym with every dribble. You could hear the powerful force of the air conditioning pushing out ice cold air to keep the atmosphere in the gym cool. As the basketball would clash with the net it would make the best “swish” sound in the world. When I stop on a dime, the bottom of my shoes would stick to the hardwood making a high pitched sound. On the misses of my shot, it would clank off the rim, vibrating the whole goal sending my ball to another direction.

The sight of the empty gym makes me feel more focused. The empty brown colored bleachers lets me concentrate on my skills instead of the screaming fans at the games. The dark hardwood floor has an abundance amount of dust, letting me know how slippery the court is. My only focus is on that ten-foot goal and getting the orange leather ball through the bright orange rim. When the ball goes through the net it causes the net to wrap around the rim showing that it was a great
