I have been to Japan and I have been to two professional Japanese game and I have been to nine MLB games this year. The biggest difference I saw was the fans. I like to go early and watch the players warm up and get ready in America there are a couple hundred to a thousands depending on the stadium and team you are seeing. But in Japan almost everyone shows up to get the stadium to see the players get ready. Another difference I noticed …show more content…
In Japan when a foul ball is hit there are usually people blowing whistles, no one fighting over it, and whoever catches it usually gives it to an usher and it goes back to the hometeam. Unlike in America when you hear a couple warnings before and during the game, and there have been actually fist fights over it and they get to keep them. The MLB strike zone if the length across the plate which is 17 inches and from the players nipples to his knees. The NPL one is smaller and strikes are called a lot more un-consistently this makes a difference in strategy like even the people who have more power and have the better bats will lay down a bunt or make a sacrifice fly, unlike in the MLB where the strike zone is more consistent and the bigger bats will rarely do that. I remember being at a NPL game and watching a pitcher was at bat and he bunted and miss, bunted and foul it off so he had two strikes again and he bunted. I was astounded because in American baseball you never absolutely never bunt on two strikes because if you bunt with two strikes and foul it off you 're out and that was the same rule over there. So he bunted again and fouled off and he was out. But over their they play more as a team they focus on moving the runner up a base or getting that run in. MLB does this but not to what the NPL does, one reason this happens because the MLB player are usually much bigger and stronger also their bats are longer so they usually have more power and can drive it better. In the MLB a baseball is 5.25 ounces, 9.25 in circumference, 3 inches in diameter. In the NPB it weighs 5 ounces 9 inch circumference, and 3.6 inch diameter. Because Japanese players are usually smaller and have less strength, the stadiums over there are smaller and smaller bats and baseballs. One thing MLB fans love is that there is no time on baseball one game could literally go on for 24 hours the longest MLB game
