With all these problems that Freire lists in his article, you would think that somewhere in the paper Freire would tell us how to get rid of banking education, instead of just going on and on about the problem. In the banking concept, student are thought of as being merely objects that information is just deposited into and that they have no real knowledge or thoughts to contribute to the topic, and the more they can memorize, the better student they are, and it doesn 't matter if they actually know and understand the material, as long as they are able to regurgitate back what the teacher has told them, the will be able to do well in the …show more content…
Through Freire has thoroughly thought out and tore apart banking education, his writings are still just a strong opinionated piece. In actuality, who knows how getting rid of the banking system completely would go. Freire seems to think that it would be fantastic and that people would be free of the “oppression” that the banking system seems to do to us. However, many others would have to disagree with Freire. By throwing out the banking system there would be no stricter in the classes that need it, not every subject in school can use problem-posing education like Freire seems to think. As well as being completely impractical, by getting rid of the banking education system, Freire is just pulling a banking move himself by declaring banking education unusable and the only way to go is problem-posing-education. You would think that after going on and on in his article about how oppressive and flawed banking-education is, he would 've realized that he is doing the same thing by saying we should completely do away with banking
