My first experience with selecting my current bank draws back to my first day at university. I created an account, on paper, at a tent during the welcome week celebration. The experience was quite rushed and informal. I had numerous questions and concerns. I have never had to deal with my own finances before, and I was quite nervous. However even though the rushed process, the bank was quite accredited and well-known so I didn 't mind and felt safe inputting my personal information their forms. This is not a process that I would recommend to an ideal bank. As for my questions and concerns, they had yet to be answered until much later in my process when I came in for a one-on-one meeting at their facility. …show more content…
A very small change I find necessary as it deals with security. I had to fill out personal information through paper format, in a tent, during a welcome fair. This was something that really negated me from joining with the bank. As with classes starting soon, I didn 't have much time to come in to setup an account on my own time, so this was the only opportunity to do so. With Moore 's Law still active and kicking today, it marvels me that this future is slowly coming into our grasp. I feel that this concept video is a goal that should be looked into with how virtual banking and facilitation works today. As crazy as this goal is now, with technological innovations today, these types of systems are in our grasp.
Perhaps not as stretched as this, aside from brick-and-mortar units, having ATM and depositing/withdrawing systems more readily available to clients is something to be researched upon. What new ways could be brought up through innovation that would allow users to dismiss their commute to an ATM or facility?
Anther idea to look in into would be new ways of authentication at ATMs. With my bank, we have to use our debit card along with a 5-digit pin number in order to access our accounts. There is nothing wrong with this method, aside from if one would lose their debit card or of the sort. Technology today is remarkable, and being able to apply some of the developing technologies with everyday life is a personal interest of
