This essay will cover how army JROTC came to be, what it has become in present day, and what I believe it will become in the future. Army JROTC began in 196 under a new act. There has been a lot changed and added to JROTC over the past 100 years, and in the years to come JROTC will change slightly, based on the relations of countries across the world and how the U.S is doing as a country. Army JROTC began in 1916 after the National Defense act was passed. This allowed for high schools to receive loaned federal military equipment to use for JROTC.…

National Honors Society is something I am honored to be asked to be a part of, it is something I have been working for, that just comes to show that if you put your mind to something and become dedicated that anything is possible. NHS is designed to help better students, and to show that you can always do better. It is a respectable program for students who have excelled in school, which includes: no discipline referrals, maintaining a high GPA throughout the year, and being a well behaved student. I as a student of W.T. Sampson high school would like to be a part of NHS because of all the hard work and dedication I have put into this school year. Another reason would be how good it looks on college applications; it would give me higher chances being accepted.…

I believe I belong in this field because every since I was young, I have always wanted to make a positive influence in people lives. I have traveled to Vietnam with my mom several of times to volunteer in the rural areas where people are stricken by poverty. I don’t believe Dr. Kligman should have received the lifetime achievement award from the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Physicians. While he was a pioneer in the field of dermatology, I think all of his accomplishments are marred by the way in which he tested the products. When someone is given an award as prestigious as one celebrating lifetime achievement, I think it is important to take into account their entire professional career, both the good and the bad. With that being said, I personally believe that even if someone found, say, the cure for cancer, but it was done at the expense of the lives of vulnerable people, even they do not deserve a lifetime achievement award. If Dr. Kligman did not use the prisoners at Holmesburg…
