Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, there are many automobile related accidents that takes the lives of many. In that era there weren’t that much in safety as cars were a new growing addition to society. Cars usually traveled fast with speed limit, air bags, and caution signs not been introduced yet. In the book, automobiles create a unique sense of space and time in text through Humbert and Lolita’s road trip. Humbert picks up Lolita from her summer camp and decides to take her on the road to view the country.
