Once Nelson Mandela, black nationalist, the first black president of South Africa said,“The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers the fear.” In the book “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee published on July 11, 1960 describes about the story of Scout Finch’s childhood in the town of Alabama with a brother named Jem and her father named Atticus Finch, showing how brave Atticus is for standing out for defense for a black man accused of raping a white woman in a racist community during the 1930s. Speaking about this in the book To Kill a Mockingbird Atticus proves himself as a moral through maintaining the stability of the society as an Eminent Lawyer and being an Incredible Father.

It was a time of The Great Depression where people judged a person based on their race. If a person who is white says something everyone would believe it, but when a black person says anything they would not trust them because they are black. Even though the whole community was against Tom Robinson, Atticus was still with him and stood up for his rights. “I’m simply defending a Negro his man is Tom Robinson,” Atticus said (75). When Atticus says this to scout it shows that Atticus is not like every other person. It takes courage to stand against the whole community for a person who is not even your family or of the same race. Atticus did not judge him by his race like every other person did, but he stood up for his voice to speak up and to get him the rights, he deserves as a person. We barely find people who are both wise and smart, In fact, Atticus is one of those rare people which makes him a perfect lawyer. “I can't use my left
