Attending McCallie School has been the best decision of my life. Coming from being a pretty sheltered kid in Charlotte, I got the opportunity to live on my own as a fourteen year-old. I had to learn how to manage my time because I didn't have anyone to tell me when to study. I had to learn how to do things that I was used to my mother doing for me like doing laundry and changing my sheets. The point is I had to grow up fast. Even inside the classroom I had to adjust to new teachers and teaching styles. This doesn't sound like a lot, but coming from a small school that I went to for nine years with all the teachers having virtually the same teaching style, it was a lot to take on.
