Infants who cannot speak communicate with their caregiver through different behaviors such as but not limited to crying, smiling, clinging, moving etc. Its amazing how they are “pre-wired” to behave certain way in order to built a relationship with their caregiver. Relationship is built by reciprocal responses between an adult and an infant. Infants will do what they are capable of. For the newborns it is crying or not crying. They cry when they want attention and stop when they have one.
