Food:
The Aztec people relied on the land and what they could grow. Some items they grew from their land were: corn, beans, fruits,and vegetables. Meat and other proteins were scarce due to how hard it was to hunt and find the animals. The Aztecs relied on insects and insect eggs for their protein.
Clothing:
Aztec clothing was generally made out of cotton which was imported, and also a fiber from the Maguey Cactus. Women would weave the fibers into clothing, and they would teach the young girls this task. Children younger than three did not wear clothing, girls wore blouses and boys wore capes. Noble men and women wore bright colors.
Homes:
Common Aztec homes were made out of adobe. Adobe is type of clay. Each simple Aztec home was laid out similar, places for cooking, place for sleeping, and a place for worship. Lighting in the home was with a small lantern, or fire in the middle of the house.
