Why Kratom should stay legal Mitragyna Speciosa, also known as Kratom or Ketum is the leaves off a tropical evergreen tree that runs in the coffee family. Kratom acts as a natural opioid and stimulant. Why would countries across the world rush to ban an opioid replacement that's hundreds and maybe even thousands of times less deadly and addictive than synthetic options? Because the government believes that Kratom would destroy the opium tax that we pay for synthetics found in big pharmas. Kratom does not have opium tax because it's produced and processed naturally by small businesses and advocates. This could potentially kill hundreds and put thousands through forced labor in working in fields and processing and producing the plant in its powder and capsule form. In conclusion Kratom the wonder plant should be kept legal throughout the entire world for its incredible healing and easing properties. Big pharma should worry less about money and more about the people of this nation and the wonderful things Kratom could do for the world, creating jobs, helping developing countries learn about the agricultural benefits, and help many with its healing properties.
