What is cancer? As a society we know this disease as one that has no known cure, that has taken the lives of many people, however by the medical definition, cancer is a disease caused by a division of abnormal cells within the body that will attack vital organs within an individual’s body. Treated by chemotherapy which is used to kill or slow the growth of the cancerous cells in the body. Chemotherapy is given to patients in cycles or a course of time in cycles, which to date is the most commonly used method to control this disease. However, over the years through extensive research and scientific study it has been scientifically proven (which we learned in the lecture portion of the course doesn’t necessarily constitute a proven fact)
