But what is not taken into the account, was the children. Children have to in doer so many problems at dealing with being bullied. Having parents of the same sex will put them in more danger. One they are granted to be bullied at school. Second problem will be that the child, start to get confused about its own sexuality. Same sex marriage should have been legalized, because it will start a trend that will allow the next generation to become lost and confused. Giving homosexuals the right to marry has been up for debate for a couple of years now. The gay rights activist has been pushing for e their rights to marry the same sex. Just like in the being of creation. God made man first and then he created Eve a female not a man for Eve to marry and to for procreation, which cannot be done through gay marriage. In order for the next generation, to become a generation birth has to take place. Homosexuality desires are unnatural, that God condemns sexual sin between people of the same sex. I disagree with the authors argument that same sex marriage has a major affect on those who do not grow up with a father. I think it depends on how the couples raises their children, this issue can happen to a heterosexual marriage also. For example, the heterosexual couple gets married and everything is going great for their first year of being together, until they decide to get a child the next year. So The couple is managing to get by and the father gets to a limit were he can’t handle the responsibility of taking care of another human being, so what does he do he leaves the wife and kid, and the mother being the responsible one takes care of the baby by herself. But that does not mean that the adolescent will grow up to be a murderer.…

Studies by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy have shown that children with same-sex parents show no difference in emotional functioning, gender identity, grade point averages, or behavioral adjustment. Quite the contrary: adolescents with same-sex parents reported feeling more focused at school and are shown to be more likely to speak about emotionally difficult topics (Linville & O 'Neil, 2014). Also, the divorce rate among married gay couples is half of what it is among heterosexuals (Hertz,…

However, statistics reference that there is a high risk that children encounter molestation by a family members heterosexual partner. Behavioral wise, children raised in homosexual relationships are known to develop psychological issues by the teasing and harassment that they experience. Researchers remain to test different theories but there is no direct evidence that the causes of those particular conflicts are present due to homosexual couples. The Courts decision to not legalize adoption in all 50 states is not justified by these particular…

There are heterosexuals who do not bear children because they are not able or thy do not wish to get a child, and they are not discriminated. Therefore same-sex couples should not be prevented from marrying based on the reason that they cannot bear children. Other studies which have been carried out shows that children from same-sex marriages are psychologically healthy like other children from heterosexual marriages. There is also no evidence which shows that same-sex marriages have destroyed the institution of marriage because there are states which have legalized same-sex marriages (Herek, Gillis, & Cogan, 2015). In the countries where same-sex marriages have been legalized evidence shows that the gays and lesbian couples are stronger that heterosexual couples.…

There are also many children of same sex couples who go on to be psychologically healthy members of society. They are not traumatized by being raised by gay marriage but often end up being upstanding citizens who are more understanding and empathetic than other members of society. It’s also important to note that many children who identify as gay, lesbian or transgender or often physically, verbally or mentally abused by their parents due to their sexual orientation. Is it not better that they are raised in a home that nurtures them rather that a home that abuses them? It’s unreasonable to think that opposing sex couples are better suited to raise…

Children all over the world just want to be loved. Everyone has their basic needs like shelter, food, and water, but the care and compassion of a parent or guardian is also necessary for children to be able to grow up and be productive, prosperous citizens to society. So, the question is not whether same-sex couples are capable of raising children, but if that is better than leaving kids under the roof of a foster “home”. Same-sex couples provide a desirable home for unadopted children, contrasted with the upbringing that they may or may not receive by being another victim to the foster care system.…

People should not judge others because of their sexual orientation. Gay marriage should be more accepted. After many years of not being able to marry someone of the same-sex, a law was finally passed. On June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court ruled that same-sex couples have the right to marry anywhere in the U.S.(“At Issue: Same-Sex Marriage.”)…

Gay people are human individuals just like everybody and have the unwritten right to love whoever they please. While many people are against homosexuality because of religious reasons, we live in a secular country, so our laws cannot be dictated by the teachings of a certain religion. Although “some religions don 't support same-sex marriage, others certainly do support it. The most fair and ethical approach—which treats all people equally regardless of religious affiliation—is to factor out religious points of view when crafting marriage laws within a secular context” (Lipp). Not only this, but the legalization of gay marriage would not infringe on a person’s religious right to disagree with it.…

A big thing is that the couple gets their marital benefits. When a couple gets married they get many great benefits that a single person wouldn’t get, so a homosexual would say this was fair to them. Denying some people the option to marry is discriminatory and creates a second class of citizens. (1) People want to believe that they can love the people that they want to love, not the people that they legally have too.…

Gay Marriage and Equality Gay marriage, these two words can make people go from being completely civilized, to arguing like crazy. This is a very sensitive topic for many people, and I honestly don't know why it has to be. I am fully supportive of the gay marriage law and rights. I think that through the years we have had this image of what a perfect society is supposed to be like. Trying to make the perfect society has ruined us we no longer accept people for they are, we only accept people that fit our own idea of perfect.…

Why? Being gay is natural. Sure, moral fundamentalists may think it is a sin, but who are they to deny rights to those who are doing something that is just as right as a man loving a woman? Gays couples can be models of family life, offering just as much love and support for children as hetersexual couples. Gender should not be covered by marriage law, as the constitution protects US citizens from gender discrimination.…

I chose the article “The Supreme Court’s Conservatives Switch Sides in Gay Marriage” Logic out of Time’s online magazine. I chose this because I am a Christian and I do not believe in same sex marriage. I believe this because the bible says it is immoral and because God gave man woman, so he would not be alone, he did not give man another man. God does all things with a purpose, including creating humans, to bring glory to him.…
