Did you know that it is said that within 100 years, there will be no more rainforests? The rate of deforestation is the same as the loss of thirty-six football fields every minute. One and a half acres of forest is cut down every second. Although it allows for people to generate more revenue, deforestation should be banned because it creates more carbon dioxide in the air, promotes the development of drought, contributes to the extinction of wildlife and is a limited resource.
Deforestation is when forested land is destroyed and made into non-forested land used for waste space or urban use such as housing, factories, or room for cattle ranching. Other people may say that deforestation is important and has more pros than cons. “The Global Health Research Foundation” states “Additionally, deforestation creates grazing land for cattle, room for commercial, residential, and industrial development and lumber for furniture and construction.
