Have you ever known a person with 12 children, and all from different men. Well, if no, then you're about to learn all about Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love. It is also unique on how she came to this world, she was born from sea-foam in the ocean. Not many people can ever say that they were born from sea-foam. Aphrodite is the Goddess of love, she is crucial to mythology considering her role as a warrior, she is a matchmaker, and sometimes makes a fool of herself also. Considering her role as a warrior would be an understatement. She is a warrior. When the Trojan Prince had to pick between Aphrodite, Hera, and Athena, he had to choose which one was the prettiest. Aphrodite loved to see people fall in love, even if she could never really find true love herself. One of the match’s she set up was Jason (a God) and Medea (daughter of the King Aeëtes). Their connection was undeniable. Not only did she set up good relationships, she also set up inappropriate relationships between different God’s. When Zeus found out about her matchmaking capabilities he punished her in a way she wouldn’t like. Zeus forced her into a relationship with a Prince named Anchises and they had a child together. That child’s name was Aeneas, yes the son she went into the war to save (Skidmore). A lot of people found love by her help. She is like a matchmaker website!
Not only was she a warrior and matchmaker, APhrodite was a fool herself sometimes. Fooling around with 12 men is not something that a woman just gets up and does. Some were relationship’s and some were unplanned. That is how she ended up with 12 children all from different men. Now, naming all of them is tough but here are 4 names of random mention; Aeneas (Anchises), Priapus (Dionysus), Phobos and Deimos are twins (Ares).
