Antihistamine Antihistamine is a form of tablets, capsule, liquid, spray, and even eye drops that treat allergies. Everyone is allergic to anything, whether it's about food, drink, smell, and even clothing. Before trying on many different drugs, doctors usually prescribe antihistamine first to their patients. It is considered to be the number one drug to fight allergies before it spread on the body. Antihistamine was first discovered by the Swiss-born Novel Prize winning pharmacology named Daniel Bovet (Church & Church, 2013). Although there are also many drugs that can make a patient better, but histamine is the number one allergy medications that people should go to. Some people may say that the medications they are taking are different than antihistamine. But like I mentioned above, there are many different types of antihistamine. The pill that a person might pick up in the convenient store might also be part of the family of antihistamine.
