There are millions of different species around our world, but these numbers are slowly decreasing every day. The reason of these decreasing numbers in our wildlife is mainly our fault; there may be some natural causes of why some animal numbers are decreasing mostly because of us. Here are some examples, of how we lower the numbers of some species survival chances and decrease their numbers.
The number one reason is Habitat destruction, when we humans destroy land to create houses, factories, malls restaurants etc... Building buildings such as this we destroy the land that many animals inhabited, from the bugs that crawled the land to the bird that flew through the sky, once destroying their habitat they all may disappear.

If the animals keep on dying from the ways I listed then there would be less biodiversity. Biodiversity is the variety of habitats and Ecosystems. Biodiversity is a good thing because there would be plenty of plants and animals so there is more choices for the animals. The food chain also is good the larger it is the better. If the simple food chain mentioned above was the only possible choice for the animals involved for instance, snakes could only eat rabbits, and hawks could only eat snakes then both snakes and hawks would die out, should the rabbit population drop because of an outside factor, like disease.…

Poachers: The Threat They Pose Every animal no matter the species have a vital role to play within its local ecosystem and food chain and then a part within the worlds much larger ecosystem. When a species of animals goes extinct whether it is from being overhunted or from a species wide illness, it has a rippling effect on the local ecosystem. Much like the United States government an ecosystem is a checks and balance system so it can be pure chaos for the species that remain. If it was a predator species that went extinct it is plausible that without that predator to control the prey species below them by hunting, they will overpopulate and cause more damage by overhunting the species below them.…

Once humans had killed most of the wolves around the mountain there wasn’t a good control on the deer population. The deer population was eating the majority of edible plants and trees. Ocean Acidification refers to when the pH of the ocean is reduced over a long period of time, which is primarily due to the extensive amounts of Carbon Dioxide in the air which reacts with the water in the sea. This problem is affecting the world’s oceans, and severely impacts those that rely on the sea animals in the ocean. Relation to the Digestive System: Oceans are not naturally acidic, but are slightly basic due to them having a pH of 8.06. Through excessive human pollution, such as driving cars, flying, expelling gases through factories and more, we are polluting our environment with carbon dioxide and other harmful gases. The oceans react to the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and forms carbonic acid, which releases hydrogen ions, therefore reducing the pH. This change affects the organisms - such as crabs - who have shells and other exoskeletal body parts made of calcium carbonate and diffuses them, it also affects the internal organs.…
