Preventing Animal Cruelty in the Environment

Animal cruelty, also called animal abuse, is the harming of animals or not caring for an animal responsibly. It is against the law to abuse animals, especially for personal benefits. Animal cruelty is a global problem that cannot be easily resolved. Studies have shown that more than 15 million animals are used for research purposes worldwide, often with little or no medical care. Animal cruelty comes in many different forms and there are various solutions to these problems.

The most common form of animal cruelty is abandonment of animals by heartless owners that treat them like they are a piece of trash. Every year, thousands of animals are discarded onto the streets with no food or care. Animals

They also aim to raise awareness on animal cruelty and the horrible effects it can cause. Also, they rescue stray dogs from the streets that have been abused and nurse them until they are healthy. Once they are healthy, they put the animals up for adoption and help them be happy in a home of their own. To make more space in their shelter for other dogs in need, they hold Adoption Days, where they encourage people to adopt animals from their shelter for free. I think adoption is better than buying animals in pet shops because we never know what the pet shop owners do to their animals. And if we buy animals, they will just catch more animals and put them up for sale all over again. Instead, we should try our best to adopt from shelters so that they can rescue other dogs and give them a better life. We are also changing that animal’s life forever. By doing this, we are doing a very good deed. But adopting an animal requires a lot of commitment, so we must think through everything first before making a …show more content…
Unfortunately, some people do not understand this and continue to abuse these poor, innocent animals. Schools should start educating their students on how animal cruelty is a very terrible thing to do and we should treat animals kindly and greatly. Moreover, parents who are cruel to animals set a bad example for their children as the children are still growing and will most likely follow their parent’s actions. People, especially parents, must set a good example for others. To stop animal cruelty forever, we need to start with our generation and from there we pass our knowledge to the next generation. An effective way to start stopping of animal cruelty is to start campaigns and educate the society on how to prevent animal abuse. Next time you see an animal getting abused, you should always report it to the police and you could save an innocent animal’s
