Andrew Jackson's life was not an easy one, he went from being captured and taken prisoner by the British during the American Revolution to having the responsibilities of being president. He had a rough life,but he made it, somehow. Jackson fought in dozens of duels, many think that's how he got stronger.

Jackson had a successful private practice and accumulated a great deal of money. In 1788, he moved to the frontier settlement of Nashville. Eventually, he became a wealthy landowner using the money he earned from his private practice. Even though his mother, father, and his two brothers died he was still raised very well. In 1798, Jackson was appointed a circuit judge on the Tennessee superior court and he served in that position until 1804. That same year, Jackson acquired a large plantation in Davidson County, Tennessee, called the Hermitage.
