But they have something else in common; Christianity in the Middle Ages improved the status of women[19], and roman goddesses and Catholicism also added respect to women. Not necessarily for power, or equality, but as the normal standards for the female gender; beauty, elegance, innocence.
It is clear through my various sources that both Roman women and Medieval women were given the ‘short end of the stick’—after analysis, they are more similar than different, and while the time spectrum is large it is apparent that these societies, while similar, are also alarmingly different. It depends on how you look, but it seems that Roman women have a bigger role in society, but there are many different arguments to make saying Medieval women had better opportunism. In final analysis, it is evident that these two societies are more similar than different, each one differing based on the time or
