.James Brown was born in Atlanta, Georgia in country Barnwell, South Carolina, around the season of the Depression. As a rascal, he resulted in numerous criminal charges, including assault and intent to kill. Sentenced equipped burglary at 16, he put in three years in an adolescent confinement foundation. After he was released, Brown tried semi-professional sports, first as a boxer, then as a baseball pitcher, but a leg injury ruined his chances of going pro.
