As a Muslim I greatly appreciate that the artist did not put a picture of the prophet because it is forbidden to do so and there is a reason behind it. In Islam, there is always a reason why something is “Haram” in this case pictures of the prophet is forbidden because the prophet feared that people would worship his image rather than God. The translation of the Arabic word “Haram” is forbidden and as stated previously things are forbidden for a reason a prime example is alcohol some of my non-Muslim friends have asked me why and the reason is because alcohol dulls the senses and numbs the mind which will cause people to do stupid things such as in a personal experience a drunk student jumped from the fourth floor of my apartment complex and landed on my balcony which was on the second floor. These extremist claim to be Muslims but how can one justify that they are when in the case of ISIS they executed a Jordanian pilot by burning him. Whereas, in the case of Buko Harram they are blowing up mosques. These acts are extremely barbaric and there is no justification to it because in Islam burning a body is a way of disrespecting God, this is because when a body is burnt you are destroying God’s creation and in a way it is disrespectful. Also “whoever kills a person in Islam is like he killed all of humanity” this text is taken directly from the Quran and it proves that killing is not the answer but unfortunately it’s the actions of the few that ruined the image of
