The climax in the story is literally the best part of the story because it displays forgivness and how Doug is moving forward rather than being stuck in the past.The truth of the matter is that yes Doug was a pretty overly sensitive guy but his sensitivity caused him to realize and also make emence not only with his old self but with Ralph,but there had to be a starting point of it all.
