There were many reasons why I felt this chapter was so interesting .The first chapter of this book that I liked was “Peering Tim”. One thing that I liked was Tim’s immaturity; “He listened intently through the register in his upstairs during each of the four visits” of Jodi to his mom (88). Another thing that I liked about this chapter was the curiosity of Tim also; “The binoculars fell out of Tim’s hands and hit the floor about about the same time he did” Tim has been spying on Jodi for some time(88). I also I liked the strong description of this section; “Her breasts were quietly resting under her shirt with their wide pink circumcircles of a nipple”as Tim admired Jodi in her sundress(88).The last thing that I liked about this chapter was the humor from Jodi to Tim. Jodi trapped Tim by giving him the option of telling his mother that he was spying or messing up his hair cut, which she did anyway(93). “The problem with men” was the chapter that I liked next. …show more content…
I liked the sex note that Candice made in this section. She said “cocks” was a word that she never liked and that she felt as if it never did capture the true male appendage. Candice also said that she felt that the word was pornographic(109). I also liked the other sexual content of this chapter; “after making her final point, she surprised herself almost as much as the boy and rested her hand on his knee, she wanted to reward his innocence”(113). I think this quote captured my mind by making the story more appealing to me. I also liked the maturity of this section also Seth make a poem called “reaching”; about a little boy who dreamed of reaching the stars”(113). Also liked how Seth was able to draw in an older women with his poem. I chose those two things because they draw a special connection between the two characters. The last chapter that I liked was “ Concerning A No String Fling”. I liked the point of view of this chapter because it let me know how Seth was feeling and how Elizabeth was feeling also. I liked the maturity of this chapter as Seth grows into being a man . He has sex with a girl named Elizabeth who was engaged(171). I liked the sexual imagery of this chapter also. It was so descriptive, “Her right breast slipped out of her oversized tank top”. “Seth moved in easily towards it and slipped the pink nipple gently in his mouth”(171). I also liked that this chapter never became boring to me. For example Elizabeth threw her wedding ring and her boyfriend punched a wall making the story more tense(179). There was always something for me to read that was interesting. One chapter that I disliked the most was “Billy”, I didn’t like the way Billy was treated by his boss and by Earl. I didn’t like the child trafficking scenario: “Billy looked like he might be sick”(103). I feel as if the man he was working for was going to give Billy some sort of cruel punishment. I also would add the fact that I didn’t like that Billy was unsuccessful in selling the sweeper. I think that there could have been a scene in
