"Just Frank", a character from the story know for asking people if they're a "man" and for dying like a "man", is the person would made Bobby realize just what a "man" was and he himself was a "man". In the story is says "When I walk out of the office I think I see "Just Frank" standing at the end of the hall. And then I know I'm being a man"(Johnson 126). This takes place when Feather, Bobby's daughter, is born and instead of putting her up for adoption like they had planned he had decided to keep her. Once Bobby decides to keep Feather and sees "Just Frank" at the end of hallway he knows what it means to be a "man" finds out that he has become what people would call a "man". These quotes and explanations prove that throughout the story Bobby has grown up and become a "man". The quotes that were used were "Your arcade days are over brother", "I hate it that she cries first, before I do", and "When I walk out the office I think I see "Just Frank" standing at the end of the hall.
