Ppe The purpose of personal protective equipment is to reduce employee exposure to hazards when engineering to reduce the risks to acceptable levels.
Equipment’s such as gloves and goggles should be worn to keep you safe from any dangers that could occur in the workplace.
This regulation is extremely important as it means the employees are well protected at all times when dealing with any machinery and chemicals. When dealing with converting the waste water into useful water for use there are many risks that will be applied in the process facility. These Regulations require employers, the self-employed and those in control of premises to report specified workplace incidents. For Instants Deaths, if there is an accident connected with work and your members of staff and a member of the public is killed you must notify the enforcing authority without delay. The reason this regulation is needed in a waste water processing facility, is that they are dealing with sewage. Therefore the objects that can be found there are impulsively dangerous. In addition the possibility of catching a diseases or an illness is also high do to the fact that they are many harmful chemicals and dirt in the sewage that can contaminate the person dealing with them even if they had protective clothing on. puwer PUWER basically stands for the Provision and Use of Work Equipment.The regulation states that anyone in a company who has control over the work equipment and has access to use the work equipment has a responsibility to ensure that the work equipment is safe for …show more content…

COSHH is the law that requires employers to control substances that are hazardous to health. The important purpose they serve is to help employers look after the wellbeing of their employees by putting a structure against the assessment of any risks caused by materials that might be hazardous to health The law aspects at the potential hazardous substance that the sewage might contain if exposed can cause serious harm to workers at the processing facility. If there substances present, it will look to minimise contact with it or get rid of it completely.
Health and safety act 1974 a risk assessment is the process of identifying hazards in a workplace and then applying the correct measures in order to control or remove them from the workplace to create a safer environment to work in.
