An unforgettable experience is an event that has a great impact on a person’s life (An Unforgettable Experience, 1969). The experiences that I want to share are the trip in Taman Negara and Redang Island. Firstly, I would like to introduce the two tourist attraction, Taman Negara and Redang Island, which I visited before going into the essay. Taman Negara was established as King George V National Park in 1938. Then, the park was renamed to Taman Negara after independence. Taman Negara, two words in Malay language, which call images of large green garden filled with flowers and creatures. Taman Negara is the world's oldest tropical rainforest, estimated to be more than 130 million years old. …show more content…
It was Wednesday early morning. My friends and I gathered at Senawang Railway Station. We were excited and get ready to greet our new journey to Taman Negara. We left there at about 6.30am. It took us about 5+ hours to reach the town at about 12pm. We met our tourist guide at there. After that, we headed for the limestone cave exploration. There are many amusing limestone caves in Taman Negara. It was an amusing experience and suitable for those who love adventures. We had seen bats, cave snakes and insects when we were exploring the cave. We were having fun and excitement in the cave exploration. The cave exploration took approximately 2 to 3 hours. We felt tired and had an enjoyable moment after the cave exploration. Then, our guide took us to our hotel. It took about 50 minutes to reach there. We took a bath and rested in our room. We were having our dinner at the restaurant just beside our hotel and the meals are acceptable. Next, our guide took us to listen to the Taman Negara’s safety and nature briefing. After a short briefing, we saw a malay tapir around the house. We were very lucky and

Life-changing experiences, or turning points, often cause difficulty to the person who is facing them. This thought is explored in the text,” The Father of Chinese Aviation,” by Rebecca Maksel, the autobiography Warriors Don’t Cry written by Melba Pattillo Beals, and the narrative I Never Had it Made by Jackie Robinson. Feng Ru, The first Chinese Aviator, Melba Pattillo Beals, one of the first black children to go to a white school, and Jackie Robinson, the first black MLB player, have all faced life-changing experiences and, in doing so, have affected their own countries gravely. Jackie Robinson was the first, of his race, to play in major league baseball. Jackie was asked to join a major league team, the Brooklyn Dodgers, and, even though…

Lived experience stories have become an important yet ambivalent tool for the recognition of disability. The transformative potential of lived experience stories to shape law, health, human services, and social work policy and practice is boundless. Yet, this potential is mediated on political commitment to listen to the voices in the community. Further, the ability of law and policy to become ‘active’ and uphold the human rights and agency of people with disabilities depends on attitudinal barriers that maintain ableist norms, institutions and practices. The paper will begin with an examination of policies, institutions, and laws that have been informed by the lived experience stories of people with disabilities, with attention…

First Recollections Second grade was my first recollection of race. Prior to this event I obviously knew that I was African American, but never seen it as a disadvantage or advantage. My friends and I were playing basketball and I accidentally elbowed one of my classmates in the nose. After elbowing one of my classmates I remember being very apologetic, but the kid that I elbowed totally blew up. I do not remember exactly what he said, but it went something like this “All you black people are fucking stupid and like to fight..…
