From the poem "morning song" you can see Plath's attitude towards life. The poem explains the issues in a relationship between a mother and her child "the midwife slapped your foot soles and your bald cry took its place among the elements" it shows that Plath doesn't think much of her child. Plath shows that she is tormented by the bee box. She desires to trust the bees but she fears to trust them "I am not ceaser" she is unable to control them comparing them to a "Roman mob". She fears them but wants to set them free, throughout the whole poem you can see that she is troubled about the bees. The poem is a metaphor for Plath's mental anguish and inner struggle. She wants to let them out but wants to experience they're emotions and inspiration. A disturbing part to "the arrival of the bee box" is that she wrote it shortly before her suicide and as she said "with my moon suit and funeral veil" which would make you think that she undid the locks and set her inner troubles
