Many years after, in 1733 the Molasses act was brought up. It gave a real boost to organizers smuggling in New England colonies. Simultaneously it promoted corruption among customs officials. To crack down colonial trade with countries other than Britain, especially France, the government created a new on foreign molasses. Yes, they made a tax on a food product. It is like the government putting a pizza tax and calling it the pizza act. It’s kinda the same. 21 years later, in 1754, the Albany congress happened. It was a summit attended by representatives from seven of the thirteen British colonies in North America at that time. Officials thought that the war between the French and the North Americans was about to happen, and so they prepared with their defense. This act was actually good. In 1765, the Stamp Act passed and made the colonists buy a stamp showing that they payed for an item,it was a way for the Parliament to make money.The Parliament made it mandatory to revenue stamps for newspapers licenses, and other materials that were printed. This act was probably the worst act out there. Unless donald trump gets that “wall act”. In 1766 the British Parliament had then cancelled the Stamp Act because the colonists boycotted British goods.The Quarter Act in 1765 provided the British Soldiers any needed accommodations and housing. Imagine some soldier coming into your house and taking your
