There are several celebrities that have been arrested in recent times. One of such celebrity is Amanda Bynes. The former child star was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a substance suspected to be a drug outside of Los Angeles, in California. According to the report, Amanda “ran a red light at an intersection just to make a complete stop in the middle of the same intersection” (Corriston, 2014, para. 2). She was apparently charged with a misdemeanor, held on a fifteen thousand dollar ($15,000) bail and subsequently released the same day. In 2012, the actress was arrested for DUI but was not jailed because she agreed to complete an inpatient treatment which lasted until December of that year. She was, however, placed on a three years' probation (Corriston, 2014).
There are obviously several victims in this situation. First, it is supposed that she was a victim of herself and then, other people she scared or frightened and put in danger because of her reckless actions.

In 1973, Assata Shakur (also known as Joanne Chesimard) and two other men were stopped on the New Jersey Turnpike for a broken taillight by a pair of police officers. An altercation ensued, and by the end of the shootout, one of the men in Assata’s car and one of the policemen had been killed, and Shakur herself had been shot twice. There are conflicting accounts of what happened, but it is indisputable that Shakur was convicted in 1977 as an accomplice to the murder of Werner Foerster (the trooper killed). She served out her sentence for several years before escaping prison, after which she fled to Cuba and received political asylum. She still lives there today.…

However, this victory was short lived. A month before her trail the judge rescinded her bond. We cannot be sure, but this may be due to the fact that “so many women had told the police I had confessed to them before I initially bonded out” (Page 7). This type of behavior is not uncommon within the jail system and the multitude of people who practice it are referred to as “snitches”. The nature of snitching in jail is not always centered on the idea of revenge.…

Then came the LAPD’s evidence tampering and the witness credibility and when that wasn’t enough the media got a hold of a topless photo from earlier years that had nothing to do with the trial and published it(Yamato).
