In SM's situation an individual who uses logic really has no need for the emotion of fear. In situations of survival fear can be beneficial but this need is not often needed on a daily basis throughout our lives so fear is not essential to our existence.
While listening to the podcast I noticed the the same techniques used on SM were from the experiment that involved Little Albert. They made loud horn sounds to instill fear in SM, but it didn't have an affect on her in the study. Overall this article overlapped with the past lectures we had in class, that fear is not essential to life and explained how fear can change a simple act as how children play in a local town over a time
