Braces have been used decades to correct misaligned teeth. For a long time, it was the only method to deal with crooked teeth whether they were gapped or crowded. While they worked well to align the teeth, they were painful to have and difficult to maintain. Food would get stuck in the braces and brushing did not help to remove it, only a dentist could remove it properly. However, Invisalign changed everything.

The trays used in Invisalign treatment to align the teeth properly are transparent and, therefore, not visible to the eye.
