Air Mauritius is the national airline of Mauritius which was Established in 1967 by British Overview Airways Cooperation (BOAC) and Air France. Air Mauritius has its headquarters in Port Louis the capital of Mauritius and Its hub is based in Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. It runs a frequent flyer package known as the KESTRELFLYER. Members of this programme are given a unique membership number thereby opening an account where accumulated miles are recorded. - Discussion on the role of the manager who will be interviewed

The strategic managers of air Mauritius are part of the members of the board. This group interviewed the C.E.O and President of Air Mauritius who handles the roles of a strategic manager as there is no definite strategic manager in the organisation.
The president and his team are tasked with the following duties in the company
• To Plan, organize, and alternatively oversee the work of subordinate staff to guarantee work is accomplished in a refined fashion that is on par with the organization’s target.
• To Work together with other managers and staff members to develop and execute policies, procedures, or objectives.
• To Evaluate expenses and other financial information to formulate and improve plans, policies, or budgets in other to increase profits and bettering

This group used Air Mauritius’ official website and the 2014-2015 annual report as the primary source of secondary data. The secondary data provides information like financial activities, risk management strategies, comprehensive profit and loss reports, cash flows, information on its shareholders and its subsidiary companies. It also provides information on members and staff of the company notably the board of Directors.

- Discussion of how the secondary data will be used
As can be seen in this report, information like profits, organisational structure, information on the board of directors, information on the various shareholders, customers/passengers, is integrated in the report in several instances. Also, Information like the Company vision, mission statement, strategic roles and company objectives were also obtained from secondary data. The information provided in this report is generated from these aforementioned secondary data sources coupled with information obtained via the interview with the strategic manager.
