Ahmed, 12 And The Other Harry: A Comparative Analysis

Decent Essays
rom the video and story, I saw that these two people one Ahmed, 12, and the other Harry, 92. Their stories are almost 100% identical even though 70 years apart and in completely different areas. Harry, a refugee from World War 2 was fleeing Berlin. Then Ahmed, also a refugee, was fleeing from Syria in present time.

Ahmed's experiences include his school being burnt down by invaders and people running in the streets in terror. Remember this is happening today almost every day. It's been like this for years and almost a whole century. He also had to depart from his mother and leave with his brother. They left on a boat that was meant for 3, but it left with 12. He spent ten days in the water at sea. Then made it to Europe and met his family

I would rate this book a 10! I love about this book gives you excitement, every chapter has cliffhanger and you never ever want to put it down! What I didn’t like about it was it was the last book. I want to know more and what his children do. Fences are about a man name troy who is garbage collector was living in a time where there was so much discrimination and how he wanted something to be done about. The 13th Warrior While watching “The 13th Warrior” I found it very ironic how much it resembled what we are currently reading about. In this paper, I will provide several quotes from the movie in order to give a better grasp of what I am talking about. A rude Arab man named Ahmed Ibn Fadhlan joins twelve other men to become the 13th warrior. The men then head off to Scandinavia, where the people of a Scandinavian village are faced with life threatening circumstances. Through the dangerous journey and bloodshed, Ahmed learned what true sacrifice was, and how to be a hero.…

Each novel follows these plot points but in an open ended way, leaving room to revisit certain aspects and themes as the story progresses. Below are the plotted points from the Philosophers Stone. Ordinary World Harry Potter’s ordinary world is his home of number four Privet Drive with the Dursleys. When he crosses the threshold into the wizarding world, the contrasts between the two realms are drastic. “It’s a good idea for writers to make the Ordinary World as different as possible from the Special World, so audience and hero will experience a dramatic change when the threshold is finally crossed”, and it is (Vogler 87). Privet Drive was a dull and miserable existence for Harry. He was without friends, was shown no love, was given little to eat, and he experienced very little happiness throughout his time there.…
